Is That Really a School's Responsibility!?!

Remember when schools focused on teaching reading, writing, and arithmetic?

Ahhh, good times!

But not anymore!

Click here to read what schools are teaching our children.  (Warning: graphic information, inappropriate for children.  And yet, that’s exactly what’s being taught to young children.  And this is just one of the stories I've come across recently.)

WHY IN THE WORLD would they think it’s their responsibility or right to teach these things to other people’s children?  Whatever happened to teaching academics?

I know what they say … “Oh, well, kids are learning about this stuff at younger and younger ages anyway because of TV and movies and news stories and peers, so we have to make sure to ‘teach’ them about it at younger and younger ages.”

Ok, so let me get this straight … You’re saying that because Hollywood and the media chooses to put more and more garbage out there, aiming it at younger and younger children, we parents now have to let you ‘teach’ them about these graphic things at younger and younger ages!?!

That because of the media’s and Hollywood’s and society’s indecency and immodesty and immorality, we have to now let the schools expose young children to it in ways they want to!?!

That we have to lie down and accept “the way it is,” letting the governmental/media-driven bulldozers roll over us, instead of demanding that the media and Hollywood and society begin acting more appropriately and decently and that they stop pouring their garbage into our kids’ minds!?!

NO FRICKIN' WAY!!!

Talk about putting the horse before the cart!

Do you really want the government deciding what brand of morality to teach your kids?  Once you put that in the hands of the government, who knows where it will end up.  Some things are the responsibility of the parents, not the schools or the government!

Maybe instead of letting schools tell us what they have a right to teach our kids, we parents need to step in more, to fight the garbage from Hollywood and to demand that schools go back to teaching what they are really responsibly for: history, science, math, reading, writing, etc.

Remember, these schools are teaching YOUR kids.  YOU pay their bills with YOUR taxes.  They are accountable to YOU for the care they are giving YOUR children.

Not the other way around!

Maybe it’s time we parents stop acting like we are in government concentration camps, completely under the control of and at the mercy of the schools and government and the media.

It’s time we begin standing up for our families and for decency, demanding that schools stay within the boundaries of academic education.  If we give them a foot, they’ll take a mile.  If we act weak and indifferent and uninvolved, they have more and more room to take as much ground as they want to.  Because there is no one to keep them in-line.

These are YOUR kids - their hearts and minds and spirits and innocence.  You have every right to get involved, to speak your mind, to resist bulldozing, to refuse to use your hard-earned money to support Hollywood's filth, and to demand that schools and the government go no further than they should be allowed to.

If you don't stand up now, then when?  How much more ground will they take before you find your voice and say, "NO MORE"?

[If you don't think that one story is enough, try this site - https://activistmommy.com/blog/.  What's going on in our country and our schools is enough to make me want to throw up all over.  And it makes me say, "Thank God that He led me long ago to homeschool my children."  I wouldn't be able to confidently stand before Him on Judgment Day if I had put my innocent children into today's public schools.  It's not what it used to be when I was a kid.  And if the only benefit of homeschooling them was that it kept them away from this kind of garbage, I would still say it was worth it!  My goodness, does this stuff make me angry!!!  It breaks my heart and almost gives me a panic attack at the same time.  And really, the stories on this blog should bother every parent who cares about their child's innocence.]
