You Know God's Wrath Is Here When ...

"The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness, since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them.  For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities - his eternal power and divine nature - have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.

For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened.  Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for [gods of their own imagination].  

Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another.  They exchanged the truth of God for a lie ...

Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts.  Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones.  In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another.  Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion. 

Furthermore, since they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, he gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what ought not to be done....  Although they know God's righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them."  (Romans 1:18-32, emphasis is added)

This is the condition of America right now!  

Some might say that the condition of our country nowadays is good, that we are progressing and are free from constraints - free to live however we want, sleep with whoever we want, worship whoever we want, be whoever we want.  

But the Bible shows that sometimes "freedom to do whatever you want" really just means that God has withdrawn from you and handed you over to your sins, to your hard heart.

And after that comes judgment, the due penalty for your rebellion!

Ironic, Isn't It? The Hypocrisy of the #MeToo Culture

Recently in the news, there's this judge who ruled that high school students have to share the showers with transgender students who identify as their sex, even if they are biologically the opposite sex (i.e. girls have to shower with people who have penises if the people who have penises call themselves "girls" and vice versa.)

Isn't it ironic that a #metoo culture - where women are demanding that men who assaulted them or harassed them are punished for their lewd/offensive behavior against women - would allow a judge to force young girls to shower alongside naked penises?

This judge then had the gall to tell families that if they don't like it then they can remove their children from the public school!

So the parents - who pay for the schools with their taxes - have no say in protecting their naked girls from naked boys, from the emotional trauma or discomfort or potential physical trauma that comes with being forced to shower in extremely uncomfortable and potentially dangerous situations.  

Where is the concern for the safety of girls now!?!

The same society that's rushing to protect harassed women is throwing their girls into incredibly risky and emotionally distressing situations!

How ironic!  

The Trans-Gender Revolution Is Beyond Insane!

(Reposted from my other blog.  I didn't realize this wasn't on this blog, too.  In fact, there's several I am going to repost here.  Because they are so relevant to today's insane culture.)

I totally agree with this article about the dangers and insanity of the trans-gender revolution.  I would write more about it, but this says it so well that there's not much more to add.

I can only hope and pray that this revolution will fail, like the title proclaims.

Please note that I am not speaking against individual people who are dealing with deeply-held, trans-feelings (that's a whole other issue).  I am talking about the trans-frenzy that's going on nowadays - the push to expose children to it at younger and younger ages, to punish anyone who doesn't support them, to change our textbooks and laws to further encourage and celebrate them, to commandeer women's sports and competitions, to demote scientific fact to mere fantasy and utter nonsense, and to silence any opposition.  

Having the right to live the way you want doesn't mean you get to force everyone else to celebrate your lifestyle or to deny their views in favor of yours!

"Don't Tell Me How To Live My Life!"

This caption that a mother put on a video of her daughter licking medical supplies in a doctor's office and then putting them back is one of the biggest underlying problems in our country today:  "Don't tell me how to live my life!"

When how you live your life affects other people's lives ... then you bet we have a right to speak up about what you're doing!

You are putting our safety at risk, just so you can be stupid!  Just so you can have a little rebellious fun and get your fifteen minutes of glorious fame, licking things and putting them back for others to stumble upon, doing things that civilized people in their right minds who act with some commonsense and decency would never do!  

And I'm talking to all you brainless, sub-human, disgusting slobs who spit into or lick things that other people end up buying or using!  

Do you really think we want your disgusting germs!?!  Your diseases!?!    

Anyone Else Remember When School Was About Academics?

So ... does anyone else out there remember the days when school was about reading, writing, and math?  About learning to write well, research papers, learn your states, understand what people in another era went through?

Not anymore!

Now it's about the left pushing their social agendas on the children, right under the parents' noses.  And we all know it.  It doesn't take a study or a scientist to see it.

Activist Educator Says That Teaching Is Political

So, parents, how do you feel about a handful of teachers telling your children how they should live and think and act?  What their values should be?  How they should view things?  As if they know better than you or are better than you!

When schools become less about academics and more about the government controlling your children's views and values, we are on a very risky, dangerous path!  And all you have to do is look at history and at some totalitarian countries to see where that path ends up.

Luke and Hannah ... Wow!

I don't watch The Bachelor or The Bachelorette.  And I don't read Cosmo magazine.  But I had to click on this article to see this Twitter "war" between Luke and Hannah.  (Of course, an article from a godless magazine is going to be anti-Luke and anti-godly-morals, FYI.) 

And all I can say is "Wow!  I am amazed at Hannah's ability to twist Scripture for her defense and to attack Luke.  It's almost demonically-inspired!"  (For more on how society does this, see "God is love, but love is NOT a god!")  

To Luke: Thank you for being faithful to the Lord in the midst of such a godless atmosphere and in the face of such opposition.  That's not easy to do, I'm sure.  And hang in there.  You'll find the godly woman you deserve!

And to Hannah: Well, lots of luck defending your theology and your choices when you stand before God!  You're gonna need it!

Rapinoe Really Bugs Me. Why?

Rapinoe really bugs me.  Even just looking at pictures of her bug me.

Why?

This article neatly sums it up: her arrogance.

The arrogant, in-your-face, I'm-the-best, bite-the-hand-that-feeds-you attitude that oozes from her, even in pictures.

I think those who hate America so much should just leave.  They should go spend some time in countries where you have almost no rights.  Where women are forced to cover from head to toe.  Where they can't drive.  Where acid is thrown on them when they offend some man.  Where homosexuals are executed.  Where you don't get to vote for your leaders.  Where you are not allowed to speak out in the media.  Where you are prosecuted for saying anything against your country or leader.

Go visit those countries for awhile ... and see if you don't come crawling back on your hands and knees, begging America to let you back in again, kissing the ground of the country that treated you so well.  That pays you so well.

If you don't like America ... then leave!

And, Rapinoe, try to remember that you aren't out there saving lives like doctors are.  You aren't serving on the front lines, risking your life for our country like our brave military men and women.  You aren't rushing into burning buildings like heroic fire fighters.  You aren't taking in homeless children like the many adoptive parents out there.  You aren't protecting and defending the citizens like the police do.  You aren't helping to fix broken people and broken families like the compassionate counselors among us. 

You're just playing soccer.  

And this isn't the "Rapinoe Show."  

You're playing soccer for America!  

You might not like our country or our President.  But you'd better darn well be thankful for what this country has given you and start treating us with a little more respect, especially since you're supposed to be representing us.  Stop disrespecting this country that's given you so many rights and privileges, so many freedoms that others died for and that people in other countries would kill for. 

Either start representing America with some more respect, dignity, and class ... or move to another country and represent them.  That is, if they'll even want someone who spits on the country they're supposed to represent.


[I never clicked on this site before and never heard this guy before, but he says a lot of truth here: "Jon Miller: Megan Rapinoe, no one wants an 'anti-American hobbit'".  Love it!  Also see (warning: lots of bad language) "Women's Soccer Player F-Bomb Videos."  In my opinion, this very disgraceful, un-sportsman-like behavior - along with Rapinoe's disrespect for America and her arrogant self-worshipping attitude - will ultimately be what costs them the respect they want, which will affect the sport they play.  It's hard to have respect for people who shove their agendas in your face, insult your country, demand to be respected, and yet who act this way.  If that's how they represent America, we ought to be ashamed of them, not cheering them on!]

I posted this song before, but I am loving this song right now!  So are my kids!

This song is about the wife of one of the singers struggling to break free from an addiction to anti-nausea medication following pregnancy.  About starting over and leaving the past behind.

But it can fit for so many people and the things we struggle with.

How I long to see people freed from the things that hold them hostage!  

My mom from her alcoholism.  My brothers from their atheism and agnosticism.  Friends and acquaintances from their damaged self-esteems, emotional struggles, health concerns, and broken relationships.  Me from my anxiety and fears about everything.  My church from the Calvinism that's taking over.  This country from its insanity, lack of decency, and lack of commonsense.  The world from its faithlessness.

How I wish we could all find the strength to "burn the ships," to leave the destructive and painful and sinful things behind, to start over again, filled with hope and peace and joy.  No shame about the past.  No fear of the future.  Eyes forward.  One day at a time.  Walking forward with the Lord in faith, regardless of how dark the path, how difficult the journey, and how many obstacles and setbacks we face.

Eyes forward.  Always forward.  Leaving the past behind, walking into a new day!
